The colorful temple pics are from Wong Tai Sin Temple, it is an outdoor public praying platform, located in front of the altar. The Temple is run by the Taoist Monks. It was moving witnessing something so intimate that is typically left between only you and your own beliefs. This temple is known for patrons receiving their requests.
Chi Lin Nunnery (Buddists Nuns)and Nan Lian Garden are in Diamond Hill section of Kawloon and are adjacent properties. The temple is massive and the gardens are magical. Instrumental relaxation music (I believe the shakuhachi) is played throughout the property. I’m not sure about Dave but it made me never want to talk again, it was intoxicating.
The street scenes are from the area apparently known as “the ladies shopping district.” It is a 5 by 5 block of street vendors that should be renamed, “rows and rows of repeated junk.” I felt I owed it to myself, what can I say?
Tonight is our last night in Hong Kong, We take to the high seas in the morning….first stop, Vietnam.
